I think that there is often a hole in the market for boards designed for people to improve their ‘shortboard’ surfing on. Boards that I guess are designed to help with wave catching and timing but that fall short of being ‘good’ boards that allow for developing proper turns and style and often are trouble in the duck-diving department. While there is more than one way to skin a cat, I liked the approach that Talitha made here in selecting a light (2.8kg), tuned shortboard for a bigger person with a full foil and slightly moderated rocker. I suppose that ultimately you have to happy with what is under your arm as you run across the beach, too. I hope that she is… Will be interesting to find out. Anyway, I liked this one, with its fresh, royal blue decals and clean outline.
